Doctors Online Service

Doctors Online, a confidential web-based preventative-medicine oriented program, provides members direct access to licensed, board-certified physicians through e-mail. These physicians provide personal advice, suggest treatment alternatives, use links to websites, provide patient information from other sources or assist members with questions about other specialists. Responses are given within 24 hours, with most arriving within 4 hours.

A. Members may ask Doctors Online for medical consultation with board certified physicians, advice on treatment for illness, access to psychologists for any behavioral health questions, nutritional and fitness advice and much more.

Q. Are there any services with which Doctors Online will not assist?
A. Exclusions for Doctors Online include emergency questions/situations and prescribing prescriptions.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of times members may use this benefit?
A. No, members are never charged for services received through Doctors Online. Members may use this service repeatedly and incur no fees.

Q. Is general health information provided through Doctors Online?
A. Yes, members of Doctors Online may receive information delivered through e-mail, such as health tips, links to other healthcare resources and responses from physicians for "general health information" requests.

Q. Is the medical information that members share confidential?
A. Confidentiality of data relating to individual patients and visitors to this health information website, including their identity, is respected by Doctors Online. The website owners undertake to honor or exceed the legal requirements of medical/health information privacy. Personally identifiable information of individual members will not be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties.
